Our Campuses
Core Values
Our Relationship with God
God is the centre of everything for us. We love Him with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind and all our strength. He is the highest priority of our life, our obedience and our worship. Nothing comes above our relationship with God, because in Him we find our reason to live.
Luke 10:27The Family
We believe the family is one of the foundations God established for human life and for society. Marriage between a man and a woman is part of God's plan and must be honoured, protected and preserved. We value the family as a place of covenant, love, character formation and passing on the faith to the next generations.
Genesis 1:27The Word of God
We recognise the Bible as the Word of God: inspired, true and fully sufficient to guide our faith, our character and our conduct. Every principle, every teaching and every commandment it contains is a foundation for our lives. We commit to knowing it, living it and obeying it with reverence and faithfulness.
Proverbs 3:3; 2 Timothy 3:16Excellence
We believe it is God's will that we grow in every area of life. That is why we value progress, maturity, excellence and continual development. We were not called to stagnation, but to advance in faith, vision, knowledge, wisdom and fruit.
3 John 1:2Generational Transfer
We believe in a God of generations: the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We deeply value the responsibility of passing on to the next generations what God has entrusted to us, in the spiritual as much as in the emotional, relational and material spheres.
Genesis 50:24; Mark 12:26Purpose
We believe every person was created by God with purpose and meaning. No one is on this earth by chance. When a person discovers God's purpose for their life and develops it faithfully, they become able to leave a legacy that glorifies God and impacts others.
Ecclesiastes 3:11The Character of Christ
Our goal is to become ever more like Jesus. We seek to develop a character shaped by the Holy Spirit, marked by integrity, humility, holiness, kindness, the fear of God and spiritual maturity.
Romans 8:29Our Statement of Faith
At Igreja Vida - Portugal, we ground our faith in the Word of God and affirm, with conviction, the essential truths of the Holy Scriptures.
In the Bible
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, infallible and unchanging, from Genesis to Revelation. We recognise it as the supreme authority for our faith, our conduct and sound doctrine.
2 Timothy 3:16In God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one in essence, glory and divinity.
1 John 5:7In the Divinity of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe in His holy life, His death on the cross, His resurrection on the third day, His ascension into heaven and His place at the right hand of God the Father.
Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:30-35In Salvation
We believe salvation is received by the grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, and not by works. We believe repentance, confession of sins and faith in the Lord Jesus are essential for reconciliation with God.
Acts 4:12In the Resurrection of the Dead and Eternal Life
We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ for His people. We believe the dead in Christ will rise first and that those who are alive will be caught up to meet the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 20:11-15In Sanctification
We believe sanctification is a work of God in the believer's life, accomplished in the spirit and progressively worked out in the soul and the body. We believe every child of God is called to live apart from sin and in continual growth in holiness.
Hebrews 12:14; Romans 6:19-22In Baptism in Water and in the Holy Spirit
We believe in water baptism as a public expression of faith and as a symbol of the believer's identification with death to sin and with the resurrection of Jesus Christ into new life. We also believe in baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
Romans 6:4; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4In the Laying on of Hands
We believe in the laying on of hands as a biblical practice through which God imparts blessing, healing, consecration, spiritual activation and power, according to His will.
Acts 8:15-20; 1 Timothy 4:14In the Five Ministries
We believe in the five ministries established by Jesus Christ - apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers - as gifts given to the Church for the building up of the Body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11In Apostolic Government
We believe in establishing apostolic government in the local church, according to the biblical model, with spiritual leadership, order, covering and the direction of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 4:11; Acts 14:23In the Kingdom of God
We believe in the manifestation of the Kingdom of God with power, through the preaching of the Gospel, the healing of the sick, the deliverance of the oppressed and the working of miracles, signs and wonders.
Matthew 12:28In Faith
We believe that without faith it is impossible to please God. We believe it is by faith that we receive God's promises, live in obedience to His Word and advance in the Christian life with confidence in Him.
Hebrews 11:6In Preaching the Gospel
We believe the Church has been called to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to every creature - locally, nationally and worldwide - using every available means to announce Jesus Christ and make disciples.
Matthew 24:14
